ABSTRACT POSTERS

This poster series explores abstraction through light, scale, and repetition. Each piece is built from simple geometric forms, circles, arcs, and layered shapes, yet the outcome feels expansive and almost cosmic in tone.

Rather than relying on complex illustration, the focus is on restraint. Large fields of negative space allow each composition to breathe. Subtle gradients and grain introduce depth, giving flat shapes a sense of glow and atmosphere. The result is work that feels immersive without becoming overwhelming.

Across the series:

  • Spheres suggest planetary scale and distance

  • Repetition introduces rhythm and structure

  • Cropped forms create tension and movement

  • Limited colour palettes heighten contrast and clarity

The blue compositions lean into calm and depth, while the green and orange variations shift the emotional tone toward energy and intensity. Each poster experiments with how minimal elements can evoke scale, space, and mood.

This project became a study in balance, how far a simple shape can be pushed through light, layering, and positioning before it transforms into something more narrative. There’s no literal story, yet the forms hint at orbit, gravity, alignment, and progression.

At its core, this series reflects a considered approach to experimentation. It demonstrates how constraint can sharpen creativity, and how structure beneath abstraction gives work lasting impact.
